About the Crisis and Resilience Fund

Funded by UK Government

The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) will launch on Wednesday 1 April 2026, with it’s Housing Payments replacing Discretionary Housing Payments.

The CRF is designed to help residents who are on a low income and experience a ‘financial shock’, and to strengthen support that helps people avoid repeat crisis in the future.

Funded by the UK government, the fund is made up of 4 components, Crisis Payments, Resilience Services, Community Coordination and Housing Payments.  The first four components will be managed by Warwickshire County Council and Housing payments will be administered by North Warwickshire Borough Council for our borough.

The Housing Payment scheme provides financial one off or short term support towards housing costs such as a rent shortfall, moving costs or rent in advance/deposit.

To be eligible for this support, you must be receiving either Housing Benefit or the Universal Credit Housing Costs Element and satisfy us that you require further help with your housing costs by providing proof of your income and expenditure.
