We have casual Gym Instructor vacancies available at all of the Leisure Facilities sites.
The job role will require a minimum of NVQ level 2 (YMCA or equivalent) and some experience in gym instruction. The role includes:
• Planning, instructing and evaluating safe and appropriate exercise to an individual or group, providing adaptations or alternatives for varying levels of fitness;
• Monitor gym members, correcting and praising techniques;
• Being approachable, with a welcoming attitude, to act as a positive role model and motivate members to promote retention and adherence to exercise.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
