Casual Duty Officer - Polesworth Fitness Hub
£12.5922 per hour
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, has strong interpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive contribution to our service and the wider community.
As part of the Leisure Facilities Team at North Warwickshire Borough Council you will be working as a member of the Fitness Hub Management Team, you will be crucial to the development of this busy facility as well as additional community-based activities managed in the local area.
Your key tasks will include Gym Inductions, Health & Safety, Customer Care and Retention, Staff Development and managing day-to-day operations.
You must have excellent staff management and communication skills. There is an element of lone working to the role so self-motivation and the ability to prioritise your workload is also essential. An understanding of the leisure industry and the principles of leisure operations would be an advantage, as well as an understanding of Health & Safety legislation in relation to a public environment. You must hold a recognised full first aid certificate and at least a Level 2 Gym qualification (or have the ability to achieve these within three months of appointment).
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
