37 hours per week (3 week rota)
£26,403 - £28,142 per annum


We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, has strong interpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive contribution to our service and the wider community. As part of the Leisure Facilities Team at North Warwickshire Borough Council you will be working as a member of the Coleshill Leisure Centre Team, you will be crucial to the development of this busy and constantly progressing leisure facility.

Your key tasks will include programme development, customer care, staff management, health and safety management and managing the day-to-day operations of the centre.

You must be confident in managing diverse situations, have supervision experience and hold a full first aid certificate. An understanding of the leisure industry and the principles of leisure operations would be an advantage as well as an understanding of Health & Safety legislation. You must also hold a Level 2 Gym Instructors qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it within six months. 

The position is based on a 37-hour working week and involves shift work including evenings and weekends.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.
